St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is a place that provides hope to those who may have lost it due to the sudden diagnosis of cancer. Thanks to its donors, St. Jude can provide for the children and families who might feel that they are drowning in medical bills, travel expenses, or the overall feeling of sadness.
This year’s Memphis St. Jude Marathon Weekend takes place on December 2nd. Our own, Caitlin Schuh will be running in the 10k race alongside her best friend, Leukemia survivor and former St. Jude patient, Kendal Dalrymple. Caitlin will be raising money for the hospital during her training leading up to race day.
Caitlin says, “I am excited to run my very first 10k and knowing I’m running for the lives of children at St. Jude gives me all the motivation I need. Having a boss who is passionate about giving back to charities makes my job more enjoyable in every way. I’m so grateful for Elizabeth’s contribution on my behalf and I look forward to running in the race thanks to her support.”
Families at St. Jude never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food. Their sole focus should be on helping their child survive. This is made possible by donors who wish to make a difference in a child’s life.
